Digital Image Acquisition

We can search, quality assess and acquire digital satellite image data from all commercially available satellite sensors. We can also commission airborne surveys using photographic survey camera equipment or digital infra-red scanners.

Image Processing & Interpretation  

HME can perform targeted processing and enhancement of digital multi-spectral imagery for use in themed projects in geoscience and environmental application areas. We will also interpret the image data independently of, or in collaboration with, local or field technicians, working towards GIS-ready map products tailored to the specific requirements of the project. These can be used to generate high-quality hardcopy map products or compiled into digital data packages for distribution within the corporate environment or for distribution via intranet and internet.

Ortho-rectification of Photography & Imagery

Remotely sensed raster imagery/photography is increasingly used as base layer in a GIS, providing an optical image of ground elements and enabling graphical updating of vector coverages. HME can provide high-resolution, digital ortho-rectified imagery and photography as required. If you have a large archive of aerial photographs and maps in a cupboard somewhere not doing anything, we can scan, ortho-rectify and mosaic them for use in your GIS. 

GIS Design and planning

HME is an independent organisation and not tied to any one software producer. We can therefore guide you towards an informed choice regarding the most appropriate software package for you and your needs; afterwards, and in collaboration with your staff, we can assist with the GIS design ensuring that the system performs as you need it; including the processing and analysis of your data.  

Mineral Exploration & Development, Logistics

Our services include support in  the development of mineral prospects - from basic grassroots exploration, logistical and supervisory support, to geological and geophysical field work, drilling programs, independent audits and project/prospect evaluations.
We have professional geologists with many years of practical experience with a diversity of commodities, including gold, nickel-copper and platinum group elements, and industrial minerals.

We can also provide a variety of logistical services related to mineral exploration activities and scientific expeditions.

We can provide bespoke training, customised to the specific requirements of the user, to be effective and productive in the shortest possible time. We can also provide training on-site, at your premises and afterwards, we are available for technical support on-site or over the telephone to answer any questions or resolve any problems which may arise.
